Our Family Story:
Mamma Lanza grew up in a large Italian family where dinner was more than just food placed on the center of the table. Like many families today, food was the core of their daily interaction. It helped create memories, invoked sibling rivalry and tied her family members closer to one another. At dinner and celebrations they would share stories, jokes and events. Of course there was the occasional pulling of hair and a meatball thrown across the room, but with six children ranging from two to sixteen that is to be expected.
Mamma Lanza has four children and she now has five grandchildren. She still carries on the traditions of sharing recipes and coaching her grandchildren to prepare food. Though times have evolved and often busy schedules interfere with bringing families and friends together, Mamma Lanza's hope is to provide the best food and the healthiest ways to feed you and your loved ones as often as possible. She knows that even today, the words Dinner Time still have people scrambling to their feet and running to their plates. After all, dinner is the number one time families still insist on sharing together.
Mamma Lanza dreamed that one day she would not only be able pass her secret recipes down to her children and their children, but also to be able to help other families continue to create their own memories with food at the center. Mamma Lanza believes that a family sitting down to eat together is essential, but she also believes that if the ingredients are the best it only makes everything better. She started Farm Foods Direct, llc to bring you closer to each other, to keep you healthy together and to let it be affordable for you to eat, without hormones and pesticides: the only way she had meals when she was growing up.
